Media Cache Drives are recommended if working with larger 4k and higher video projects. Especially for projects are 15 mins or longer. Media Cache drives need to be high speed 2.5" SSD, M.2 SATA SSD or PCI-e SSD depending on the hardware configuration.
A Video Source Drive or Drives is required on virtually any Video Production system. Video clips, Raw Camera footage, and media content requires large amounts of typically high-speed, low noise SATA 600 or SSD drives for storage.
