Build backgrounds, caustics, and surfaces including brick, granite, steel plates, wood grain, and cloth.
Easily generate resolution-independent organic backgrounds, caustics, and surfaces.
Caution: If you already own Boris Continuum, purchasing and installing a new unit or filter will overwrite the whole product and you will only be able to use the filter or unit you purchased.
The Continuum Textures Unit offers multi-host support with a single license.
The BCC Brick filter is a versatile generator of tiled surfaces with realistic texture and lighting controls. The bricks can act as a filter on a layer or generate a brick surface.
The BCC Caustics filter can be used to simulate the effect of light refracting through a surface of water and projected onto a surface (like moving water ripple reflections on a pool bottom). You can use this filter to create many types of effects where rays emanate from a point and are reflected or refracted by a curved surface. For example, you could use this filter to generate:
The built in PixelChooser, with integrated mocha planar tracking allows for greater control over which areas of the image the filter should affect.
The BCC Cloth filter creates a texture resembling tightly-woven fabric. The cloth can act as a filter on a layer or generate a cloth surface.
The BCC Clouds filter is a realistic clouds generator. The clouds can act as a filter on a layer or generate a sky with clouds and a horizon color. Three different types of clouds automatically animate using the Direction, Angle and Speed you set without using keyframes.
The BCC Fractal Noise creates a simulated marble texture. The texture can act as a filter on a layer or generate a marbled surface
The BCC Granite filter simulates the appearance of granite or another type of mottled stone. The granite can act as a filter on a layer or generate a stone surface.
The BCC Mixed Colors filter produces a color noise map. The color can act as a filter on a layer or generate a mixed color surface.
The BCC Noise Map 2 filter uses a 3 dimensional Noise Map to generate auto-animating monochrome textures for use as backgrounds, mattes, or alternate sources to control other filters. The filter generates multiple layers of noise and superimposes them to produce the output texture.
The biggest difference between Noise Map 2 and other noise map filters on the market is Noise Map 2’s ability to use an alternate layer or synthetic shape to modulate various aspects of the mapping. Pushing points around in the “Noise Space” based on modulation settings produces a lot of interesting textures.
The BCC Reptilian filter produces a texture resembling a scaly or spotted animal skin. The texture can act as a filter on a layer or generate a textured surface.
The BCC Rock filter is a realistic rock generator. The rock can act as a filter on a clip or layer or you can generate an opaque rock surface.
The BCC Stars filter is an auto-animated star generator which can composite stars over a sky color or an image layer. This filter provides control over the size, density, movement and color of the stars, and allows you to add galaxies. Stars can also use the alpha channel in any other layer as a map layer, allowing you to create skies in which stars fill a pre-composed image or logo.
The BCC Steel Plate filter creates a textured plate of steel generator. The steel can act as a filter on a layer or generate a steel surface.
NEW IN CONTINUUM 2021, the BCC Textures filter composites various textures to an image to create a professionally stylized look.
The BCC Veined Marble filter is similar to BCC Granite, but produces a texture with more pronounced “veins” and offers more controls for customizing the effect. The texture can act as a filter on a layer or generate a veined marble surface.
The BCC Weave filter is similar to the BCC Cloth filter, but produces a texture resembling a much more loosely- woven fabric, such as burlap or gauze. The texture can act as a filter on a layer or generate a weaved surface.
The BCC Wood Grain filter creates the appearance of a solid piece of wood. The wood can act as a filter on a layer or generate a wooden surface.
The BCC Wooden Planks filter simulates a surface covered in wooden boards, similar to a wood floor. The texture can act as a filter on a layer or generate a wooden floor surface.
